How To Achieve Authentic Happiness

How To Achieve Authentic Happiness

Would you recognise authentic happiness? Many of us assume that walking around with a smile upon our faces is happiness, but this is not true.

Happiness is how you feel deep down inside. It cannot be faked, it is the difference in saying you are happy and truly being happy.

Being authentically happy is one of the most important things that you should aim to be in your life. It is important for yourself and everyone that you love.

This involves having a positive attitude towards life and the various aspects of your day. Many people wish they were happy but fail to recognise what happiness they do have, as they don't appreciate the positive things in their life.

Many people start the journey of trying to find authentic happiness by looking at material things. Material things do not make us happy, it is not authentic.

If you are in a relationship where you are continuously trying to make the other person happy then this is not good. You should not have to fake happiness or put a false smile on your face to make people think that you're feeling happy.

The feelings of contentment that we have deep down inside, regardless as to what happens in our lives is authentic happiness.

No object or person can create this type of feeling. In order to feel it and achieve it you need to appreciate and love yourself.

This does not mean you need to create a false persona or put on a show for other people. Your close friends and family will know if you are just saying you are happy, or whether you are actually feeling it.

No one is capable of being happy twenty four hours a day, seven days a week so therefore you are being unrealistic to think you can achieve this.

Once you become in touch with your feelings, then you will be able to overcome the setbacks and obstacles in your life far more quickly. If you are still unsure what authentic happiness is, then stop trying to find it externally.

Learn to find it in yourself. Embrace your own strengths rather than focusing on your weaknesses. Once you begin to love yourself, then many other emotions that have been holding you back will start to take a back seat, and true happiness will shine through.
